Add option to ignore email signatures when creating or updating Helpdesk tickets
Currently, when emails are converted into tickets or comments in Helpdesk, the full content of the email - including long signatures, logos, disclaimers, and attachments - is included. This can clutter tickets and make them harder to read.
Proposed enhancement:¶
- Add a checkbox or toggle in the plugin settings called something like “Ignore email signatures.”
- When enabled, the plugin would strip email signatures and unnecessary attachments from incoming emails before creating tickets or adding comments.
Benefits:¶
- Keeps tickets and comments clean and focused on the actual content.
- Reduces clutter from long signatures, disclaimers, and embedded images.
- Improves readability and efficiency for support teams.
- Optional feature, so organizations can enable it only if they need it.
