A summary is a short block above the content of an issue, wiki page, forum topic or version that tells what is asked, the current state, decisions, blockers and who acts next. It follows the same rules as drafting: only data visible to the reader is used, and the text of the page is treated as data.
Generate a summary
- Open an issue, wiki page, forum topic or version.
- Choose AI summary in the actions menu (the ... menu of an issue).
- The block shows Generating… with Stop; the result appears above the description with the time of generation.
- Update with new activity refreshes the summary using only what changed. The trash button deletes it; the icon next to the title collapses the block to a strip.
What is summarized
| Target | Content |
|---|---|
| Issue | fields, description, notes, relations, subtasks, attachments |
| Wiki page | the current text (not the history) |
| Forum topic | the topic message and all replies you can see |
| Version | name, status, dates, description, linked wiki page and progress of the issues you can see |
Shared and personal mode
- Shared mode (default, Light): one summary per page, visible to everyone who can see the page and has the Agent module. Only users with Manage AI summaries create, refresh or delete it; others see it read-only. The shared summary uses only project instructions and no tools, so it cannot leak data that other readers cannot see.
- Personal mode (PRO, setting Personal summaries): every user generates a summary visible only to them, with their own instructions, and the AI may use tools (related issues, subtasks, data of other plugins).
Summaries are deleted together with their page, topic or version. When a page moves to a project where you have no access you see nothing.
Permissions
Use Agent (generate in personal mode), Manage AI summaries (shared mode; not given to any role automatically). The Agent module must be enabled in the project.
