This article describes how the Zenedit plugin works with the Redmine Agent plugin. Everything below needs the Agent plugin installed; without it Zenedit works as usual. All data and actions follow the permissions of the user and, for MCP, the scopes of the OAuth token. See MCP server and AI assistant tools for general setup.
Both tools are available in Light and PRO.

| Tool | Needs | Mode | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
list_issue_viewers |
View issues | read | users who viewed an issue since its last update, newest first |
manage_issue_draft |
Add issue notes | destructive | action: list, get, save, delete issue drafts. save without user_id stores a shared Suggestion that the user applies or cancels in the issue form; with user_id it becomes that user's own draft |
A suggestion is a way for an AI client to propose a comment or an edit without writing it into the issue: the user reviews it in the editor of Zenedit and applies it.
