Filter, group and style the chart

Everything that changes how the chart looks is in Filters and Options above it. Select a heading to open it, then select Apply. Clear resets the query.

Filters and saved queries

Filters are the ones of the issues list: status, tracker, assignee, version, dates, custom fields. Choose a saved query in the sidebar to apply it. Planner does not save or edit queries; create a new query on the issues list. Filters only hide rows. The critical path and the baseline always use the whole project, see the corresponding articles.

Options

Option What it does
Group by PRO Groups rows under headers: project, assignee, version or Agile sprint, or none.
Scale Months, weeks or days.
Related issues Display shows dependency arrows. Without it there are no arrows and no link handles.
Baseline PRO Shows the selected baseline. Visible only when the project has one.
Critical path PRO Highlights the critical path for the project end or for a version.
Bar labels PRO Id, subject, estimated time, assignee inside bars.
Color by PRO Colors bars by tracker, priority, project, assignee, issue or spent time.
Versions PRO Shows version milestones.
Columns PRO Adds query columns to the task table.

Scale, number of months, bar labels, color and versions are your personal preferences. Related issues and Columns belong to the query.

Group by PRO

A group header shows the number of issues and a collapse arrow. Groups are containers only: they are never scheduled and never change who is the parent of an issue.

  • Grouped by project, version or sprint the headers keep the order of the query; sprints are sorted by start date, then name. Issues without version or sprint form the last group.
  • Grouping by sprint is available when the Agile PRO plugin is installed and you may view its queries.
  • Hierarchy is drawn inside one group. When a child has another assignee than its parent, grouping by assignee puts the child under its own header at the first level.

Color by PRO

Colors come from the Agile PRO plugin (tracker, priority, project and so on) and are shown only where Agile has a color for the object. A Draft bar always stays yellow. While the critical path is on, Color by is set to none so that the red marks stay readable.

Columns PRO

Select Columns and choose fields in the selector as on the core Gantt. They appear in the table between the subject and the timeline, 80 px wide; drag the right edge of a header to resize. Values changed by the Draft are in italics: start date, due date, estimated time and assignee. The columns are hidden on screens narrower than 900 px.
